Just off Highway 278, this quiet little town features plenty to do and see. Downtown, local stores line the sidewalks, a brand new amphitheater sits in the middle of town, and a beloved local park a short drive off main street.
- Rooted Trading Company is a unique outfitter in town, offering home goods, adventure gear, grab-and-go food, and locally-made merchandise. Other local businesses on Marietta Street include salons, a bookstore, boutiques, and a cafe.
- A brand new place for the community to gather and enjoy shows and events, Thurman Springs Park was finished in 2021, and features a fountain and splash pad, play area, and the Hardy Family Automotive Amphitheater. Seating is plentiful here, and the park even features access to the Silver Comet Trail.
- Among Powder Springs’ biggest amenities is Wildhorse Creek Park, a sprawling multiuse facility that features a BMX track, recreation center, equestrian center, sports fields, trails, and the Seven Springs Water Park! There are tennis and equestrian programs here, with youth softball available as well, and Seven Springs Water Park has slides, a lazy river, and much more to help everyone in the family cool off in the hot months.

The biggest park in the area, though, has to be Taylor Farm Park. A half acre lake anchors this park just 15 minutes from The Meadows, with sports facilities, a playground, pavilions, a beautiful community rec center, and a 1.25 mile walking trail. Events here include local performances, as well as fireworks on major holidays. This beautiful park is a breath of fresh air every time you visit – and from The Meadows, that can be as often as you like.
